A: Semaglutide is a medication that mimics a natural hormone in your body called GLP-1. This hormone helps regulate your blood sugar, slows down stomach emptying to make you feel full faster, and reduces your appetite. By working with your body's natural processes, semaglutide can be a powerful tool for weight loss when combined with healthy lifestyle changes.

A: Tirzepatide is a newer injectable medication that works similarly to semaglutide, but also mimics another hormone called GIP. GIP further enhances feelings of fullness and helps your body produce insulin more effectively. This dual-action may lead to even greater weight loss results compared to semaglutide.

A: Both medications help to regulate appetite, prolong feelings of fullness by slowing gastric emptying, improve blood sugar control, support weight loss, decrease insulin resistance, lower blood sugar, decrease high blood pressure, and even lower the risk of cardiovascular disease.

A: Methionine-Inositol-Choline-Cyanocobalamin (MIC) injections have been used for more than 30 years to successfully aid in weight loss, in combination with other weight loss medications. It helps with reducing caloric intake, improving energy, and enhancing weight loss results. The MIC injection formulation consists of a combination of “B” essential vitamins (B-1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & B12) and essential amino acids.

Peptide adjunctive therapy is with Sermorelin.

  • Sermorelin is a growth hormone-releasing factor (GHRF) that aids in weight loss, particularly of belly fat, by triggering the pituitary gland to produce and release the human growth hormone (hGH). This hormone is important because it stimulates the production of insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) and raises testosterone to help with weight loss. IGF-1 is important because it stimulates muscle protein production and lean body mass, and has been linked to breaking down body fat.

A: Oral medication options are Phentermine, Phentermine/Topiramate, and Bupropion/Naltrexone.

Sexual Health Treatment Questions

A: For men, this peptide therapy option will differ from Viagra and other related medications. That’s because it doesn’t depend upon the vascular system but increases sexual desire via the nervous system.

For women, it helps to increase sexual function, arousal, and orgasm.

A: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common condition where a man has difficulty getting or maintaining an erection firm enough for sex. It's more common as men get older, but it can affect men of any age. While it can be frustrating, ED is often treatable.

At Vital Forge, we offer effective oral medications like tadalafil (Cialis) and sildenafil (Viagra) to help improve blood flow and sexual function. These medications are just one part of a comprehensive approach to men's health. We can also explore other underlying factors that may contribute to ED and create a personalized plan to address your unique needs.

Men's Health Questions

A: We offer comprehensive men's health services, including testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), erectile dysfunction treatment, weight management programs, preventive care screenings, and support for sexual and mental health concerns.

A: Low testosterone symptoms can vary, but common signs include fatigue, decreased libido, difficulty building muscle, mood changes, and difficulty concentrating. If you suspect you have low testosterone, our expert can assess your levels and discuss treatment options.

A: TRT involves supplementing your body's natural testosterone levels. We personalize your treatment plan based on your individual needs and preferences, using various administration methods and close monitoring to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Prescription Policy for Arizona Residents

What is the difference between 503A and 503B pharmacies?

A: A 503A pharmacy is a traditional pharmacy that prepares medications for individual patients based on a prescription from a licensed healthcare provider. These pharmacies are regulated by state pharmacy boards and must comply with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) guidelines, but they cannot mass-produce or distribute medications.

A: A 503B pharmacy, also known as an outsourcing facility, can manufacture and distribute large quantities of compounded medications without needing a patient-specific prescription. These facilities are required to adhere to more stringent FDA regulations and are inspected by the FDA to ensure quality and safety. 503B pharmacies are often used by healthcare facilities for bulk orders of compounded medications.
